Also if you guys have noticed, Singapore seems to be having a pretty good concert year so far with all the up coming gigs so do look out for gig guides and maybe even visuals from some of the concerts! We apologize because we have not been able to snag any interviews as of yet, because we're just a small blog that being run by two hopefuls. Halfway Home ; They Are More Broken Statues

Hey Everyone!

It has been quite some time since I posted about some amazing bands that more people should check out, so it's about time I did! Before I continue, I would like to thank all of you who have viewed our blog and also followed us on twitter! We really appreciate all the views and support we receive!

Moving on, the featured band in this post, as mentioned in the title, is Halfway Home! Upon the request of guitarist Tyler Grier via twitter, I checked out their EP and I believe that you are definitely missing out if you have not!

Halfway Home is a band from Chicago, and they make stunning music by blending the genres of hardcore and pop-punk. They released their EP, Something Better Or Nothing At All in November 2013.

The EP consists of 5 songs which will play their way to your heart! The EP opens with their first track, Stable Ground, bringing across the ideas of looking for stability, comfort and maybe even escape, which any listener can easily relate to. Similarly, if you really listen to the lyrics of every song in this entire EP, you will realise they sing about very real feelings and thoughts, making their songs easily relatable, and thus their music more lovable and addictive! (I personally love the very strong attitude brought across in the 4th track of the EP, Zipper.)

You can stream and download their full album at http://halfwayhomeofficial.bandcamp.com/track/miles-to-go ! Also, if you love them, follow them on Twitter (https://twitter.com/HalfwayHomeIL ) and like them on Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/HalfwayHomeIL ) as well! I hope you enjoyed their music just as much as I did!

Strangers to Wolves

With stunning vocals, amazing lyrics and beyond awesome sound, they will blow your mind to space and back! By "they", I mean Strangers To Wolves, a band from Cleveland, Ohio. Vocalist Chris Parketny, Guitarist Marcus Springer, Bassist Cameron Perry and Drummer Justin Sassen have combined their talents and to make great music since 2011.

Apart from the singles they released from 2012 to 2013, they also released an EP early last year.

Lost Boys (debut) EP
The EP consists of 6 songs, (1. Intro 2. Scarlet 3. Lost Boys 4. Here's To The Best 5. Second  Star On The Right  6. The Tell Tale Heart ) . The EP really brings across the diversity of Strangers To Wolves in terms of music style. There are tracks that are subtle and soft, and there are those that are heavy and melodic, it will really amaze anyone who listens to it. You will also be taken aback (in a good way) by the unexpected screams from Chris, which just adds to the power of their songs. All in all, the band is just incredible lyrically, vocally and musically, and if you are reading this, I promise you, you really would not regret listening to them. Hope to hear more from these guys soon!

I Divide. You should Follow (Them)

I Divide
A few days back, I Divide followed us on twitter and left us a message promoting their new music video. Guess what? I checked them out and I have absolutely no regrets!

I Divide is a five-piece British rock band made up of Lead Vocalist, Tom Kavanagh, Lead Guitarist, Henry Selley, Rhythm Guitarist and Backing Vocalist, John Wreford, Bassist, Kristen Hugher and Drummer, Dave Mooney. Since 2011, they have made stunning progress as a band.

In 2011,apart from releasing new singles and music videos, they also released their first album in October.
What's Worth More? consists of 9 great songs that anyone can easily relate to. (I also personally like the message conveyed through the imagery of the album art).

The band later entered the Redbull Bedroom Jam 2012, and emerged as the winner that year. They have also performed at various events including Download Festival, Hevy Music Festival and Slam Dunk Festival. In November 2012, all the amazing work they put into their music paid off as they were crowned the Best Rock Act 2012 at the South West Music Awards.

The band released the music video for Follow Me in mid-2013. (Warning: This song has a really good hook and you may find yourself subconsciously humming it at random times of the day.)  If you clicked that video and loved that song like I did, you'll be extremely glad to hear that that is one of the songs which will be in their new album!

I Divide will be releasing their latest album, Last One Standing on 4th April 2014 (so stoked for this one) ! It will include 11 new songs, including Follow Me.(You can view the full track list for the album at their official website .)

So, if you're looking for amazing music you should definitely check them out!

They've definitely got a fan in me. Their amazing sound will make you feel addicted to their music, and the emotional depth of their lyrics will not fail to draw you in and touch your heart. Now I simply cannot wait to hear what awesome new music they have for us in their new album! I hope that you guys will fall in love with them just as I have!
